This year, we were able to go for one night. Except, since L has a yucky cold, we decided it was best that we didn't actually camp. We got a hotel room at the only hotel that had any vacancy.....next time I will plan better because let's just say it wasn't the cleanest place I've ever stayed.
The kids and I drove down after school on Friday and for a couple of reasons -- 1)I missed a turn. 2) Yahoo maps needs help with it's directions to some places-- what should have been a 2 hour drive (at most) ended up being a 3 hour drive. We finally arrived and got to do Smores and hang out around the campfire with Grammy, Granddaddy, Leanna, Lauren and Seth (my step-sisters and Lauren's hubby).

After Smores 3 out of 4 kids were melting down, so it was time for us to go. We drove back to the hotel and Daddy met us there.

On Saturday morning, Daddy and Grandaddy left bright and early to go on a Rail Speeder Trip. SO, the kids and I, and Grammy decided to drive to Dawsonville to Burt's Pumpkin Farm. It was awesome! They had many varieties of pumpkins. Each of us picked out a pumpkin.
L's favorite color is green
She picked a green pumpkin.
B picked a white pumpkin
B picked a white pumpkin
M also picked a white pumpkin
And A picked three small pumpkins instead of a bigger one.
We desperately tried to get a good picture of the 4 kids together.
This is the best we could do.....
Baby Pumkins.....
A shot of the whole place....
We paid for our pumpkins and headed on to find something to eat for lunch.....
Grammy chose three pumpkins.
SO, we had a wheel barrel full of pumpkins.

So fun! You got some great shots M!
ReplyDeleteI would love to do a pumpkin patch, but we did the apple orchard and a corn maze...and on top of all our other fall activities I'm too worn out to do the pumpkin patch. Maybe next year. :)
