Moments {11.14.14}

I almost forgot today was the day to put up my pictures for this week.
Since I just put up last weeks pics on Monday, it seemed too soon.
But, it is Friday and I am excited to share another week work of  pictures that tell the story of our week.

Saturday, November 8, 2014 -- In between Brady and Lillie's soccer games, I finally got around to putting the Halloween decorations away and getting out the few Thanksgiving things I have.
Maggie and Lillie made these adorable turkeys when we lived in Sylva.
Maggie had Mrs. Joni and Mrs. Aimee when she was in first grade and Lillie had them for Kindergarten.
We were so blessed to have them as their teachers.
There were fantastic.
So thankful to have these little turkeys to remind us of them each year.

After both soccer games, we came home for lunch and then went to see a movie with Papa and Nana.  We saw "Alexander and the Horrible, Terrible, No Good, Very Bad Day".
Very cute movie.
We then went to the bookstore where Papa treated the kids to some new books.
and then we got some supper before heading back home.

310/365.... We got a picture before Papa and Nana headed out for the night as they were headed on to my sisters house the next morning and we wouldn't see them again until Christmas.

Sunday, November 9, 2014 -- We had church, of course, and then had a late lunch out as a family before heading back to church for youth and for Christmas Play Practice.
These kids are always fun!

That day I took a picture of the books my children got the day before at the bookstore.
You can tell so much about their personalities by looking at the books they chose.
Any guesses on who got what?

311/ 365......Definitely individuals!

Monday, November 10, 2014 --  Work and running errands before picking up the kids from school.
Then it was out to eat with our youth group.
We went as a group to eat at a fundraiser for a local boy who has Cancer.

This is my favorite picture of the night.
One of our senior high girls is trying to get  one of our adults to smile.
He wasn't thrilled about being in the picture.

We then headed out to do a special flocking for a veteran's breakfast the next morning.

312/365.... such great kids!

Tuesday,  November 11, 2014 --  Another whirlwind weekday but school was out on this day for Veteran's day.  I worked for a bit in the morning and came home in time to get Allie to her orthodontist appointment.
There was still homework to be done before school the next day once we made it home.

313/365....... working hard.

Ken had an evening meeting. SO, once I got everyone off to bed, I sat down to do my own 'homework' in front of the fireplace.

Wednesday, November 12, 2014 --  On Wednesday afternoon, Brady came home and did part of his homework.
He had to write two sentences saying what he was thankful for.
He said "I am thankful for my mom and dad. I am thankful for Nana and Grandpap".
SO sweet.

These days it seems like my kids fuss and fight a LOT.
So, in those moments when they are actually loving each other -- I grab the camera.

314/365..... sisterly love....

Thursday, November 13, 2014 --   This was our last day of the bible study I've been co-leading at church.
Endings are always sad to me. But have loved this doing this study with these sweet ladies!
What an amazing group!

Friday, November 14, 2014 -- Today has been a great day.
Hubs let me rest this morning. He got up and made breakfast and got everyone off to school.
I did finally get up and run some errands and do some work. =)

This evening, we made homemade pizzas and have been just enjoying being at home together for once.

316/365......loving on each other for a few minutes while eating strawberries.

Making homemade pizza ( it's been a while) earned me the title
Best. Mom. Ev-er!
I will take it!
