Moments {8.29.14}

Another week of Instapics and photos each day.
It has been a HUGE week around here.
The kids all started school this week.
And all of our fall activities are starting to pick back up.
Here are a few 'moments' from our week!

Saturday, August 23, 2014 --  We did a little resting and laundry on Saturday since we had just returned from the beach.
I also did several hours of work that I needed to catch up on.
So, since I worked all day and there was no food in our house,  Cookout was for supper.
I had never noticed before that there are bible verses on their bags.

232/165......spent a long time to day finishing all this.
Lots of prep for a Parent Meeting.

Sunday, August 24, 2014 ---  After church, we went to grab some lunch as a family as we still had no food in our house.
Playing tic.tac.toe with someone is the norm while out for a meal.

After lunch, the family went to see my inlaws and I went back to church to get things ready for my meeting.
After the meeting, I came home and helped prepare for the week ahead.

233/365..... first day sign.

Monday, August 25, 2014 -- These girls started school.
I really can't believe it is that time of year already.
Summer flew by!
I am usually ready for them to go to school, but not this year.
234/365..... my girls.

After school, Lillie got in the car and declared her teacher the funniest teacher ever!
Maggie wasn't thrilled that she had been called Allie all day, and Allie wasn't thrilled that there was "nobody" in two of her classes.

A lot of our fall activities started back up on Monday, so it was time to divide and conquer.  I took Maggie to tumbling while everyone else went to soccer practice.  Tumbling was the better choice.  I had a little down time!

Relaxing with a book!

Tuesday, August 26, 2014 --- This sweet little boy started Kindergarten.
So sad to me.
235/365.....the last Kindergartener..

Since we have a tradition of getting ice cream as a celebration of the first day thing and seeing how Monday was too busy. AND, seeing has how this was my boy's 6th birthday, we did it on Tuesday.
Happy Kiddo's!
I think the second day was better for my older two!

Wednesday, August 27, 2014 -
Allie had a checkup with her endocrinologist.
She was "bored" while waiting.
We weren't even waiting that long.
Uughhh.  Technology....my kids need to be entertained all the time.
She should've brought a book.
The endo came in and things went great!!

We are so proud of this girl and how she has worked hard at taking care of herself.
When we arrived in the hospital back in May her A1C level was 11.8.  For those of you who have no idea what that is, it is basically a number that tells what a person's average blood sugar level has been over three months. 11.8 correlates to an average blood sugar level of 292.
But on Wednesday, her A1C was 5.1 -- an average of 90-100.  PERFECT!!
Non-diabetic people have an A1C of between 4 and 6.
SO proud that she is taking care of herself!
236/365.....Love her so!

Thursday, August 28, 2014 --   All 4 kids were in school on Thursday.
That meant a day of work for me.
When they got home, he was so thrilled to get to play with his new legos!
237/365.....lego love.

I had a meeting to go to last night and when I got home I was very tired.
As is evident here....

Friday, August 29, 2014 --
Since all 4 kids are now in school all day long, hubs and I made a decision to make Friday our 'date' day.
We haven't had a regular date time ......ever.
Hope we are able to do this and really spend some quality time together.
Today we went to lunch and did some shopping together.

Then it was time to come home and get the kids.
Tonight, we had pizza and family movie night.
238/365.....The Muppets.

Great first week of school for us.
How about you?
