Moments {2.14.14}

This week has been a very different week.

The kids only went to school the first two days of this week due to all the snow.

It seems I took a LOT of pictures of the outside world this week.

Lots of the sky, the trees and God's creation.

Without further ado, here is what we have been up to this week.

Saturday, February 8, 2014 --

I was still in Hilton Head last Saturday.

This is an instagram of the Atlantic Ocean that day with a quote I need to remember.

Sunday, February 9, 2014 --

I came home on Sunday.

Had a nice rest and then we went to supper as a family.

So glad to be back with my peeps.

40/365...... I love this tree in our yard......

and the clouds.

Again, happy to be home.

Monday, February 10, 2014--

The meteorologists had already started calling for a BIG snowstorm.

Tuesday, February 11, 2014 --

A pretty day trying to get everything done before the snow started.

I wish this was clearer.

The moon had a huge ring around it.

42/365.....Maggie is getting good with the rainbow loom.

She was making a gift for her friend Gracie.

Such a big heart.

Wednesday, February 12, 2014 --

School was cancelled in anticipation of the winter storm.

It did start snowing. Eventually.

And with it came news that there would be no school the following day.

SO, Family Game Night it was......

43/365...... 3 inches of snow fell.....

Thursday, February 13, 2014 --

I awoke on this morning with the three inches that had fallen the day before having been beaten down some and crusted with at least a half an inch of sleet which had frozen into ice.

But, at about 8AM, it started snowing like crazy.

By 10AM, we had 10 1/2 inches and it was still coming down....

44/365......the same trees as the day before.

But the look is very different.

So pretty..... We got in some good sledding.

Friday, February 14, 2014 --

Another snow day.....

Happy Valentine's Day to my little people!!

 45/365..... Since there was no school for the past few days, we just got around to doing Valentine's cards.

He wrote his own name but didn't want to write his friends names.

Hubby and I had plans to attend a concert in Greensboro tonight.

But with all the snow and roads not being great we didn't want to chance it.

Even if we could make it around fine tonight, we would need to leave tomorrow morning before things had time to thaw.

SO, bummer but at least we will be together.

WAIT.

Hubs just came in and said that he is taking the whole family out to supper for Valentine's Day but we have to leave at 5PM.

Sweet!

We can get to supper and be back before the freeze tonight.
I have to go get ready!
I will be catching up with ya'll in between catching up on work tomorrow and Sunday!!
