Pondering On....Isaiah 41:8-10

The Lord gave me these words to ponder today.......

Isaiah 41: 8-10

8 But you, Israel, My servant,

Jacob, whom I have chosen,
descendant of Abraham, My friend —

9 I brought you from the ends of the earth
and called you from its farthest corners.
I said to you: You are My servant;
I have chosen you and not rejected you.

10 Do not fear, for I am with you;
do not be afraid, for I am your God.

I will strengthen you; I will help you;
I will hold on to you with My righteous right hand


and in the Message......
8-10"But you, Israel, are my servant.
You're Jacob, my first choice,
descendants of my good friend Abraham.
I pulled you in from all over the world,
called you in from every dark corner of the earth,
Telling you, 'You're my servant, serving on my side.
I've picked you. I haven't dropped you.'
Don't panic. I'm with you.
There's no need to fear for I'm your God.
I'll give you strength. I'll help you.
I'll hold you steady, keep a firm grip on you.

I love these verses! What hope and encouragement for me today. It's nice to be reminding that God has chosen me and because of that I need not fear!!!
