Moments {3.28.14}

Another week has come and gone.
And  it was another busy one.
I know I sound like a broken record but this week was busier than usual, as I knew it would be.
Things are changing and new things are starting in our family and those things have shaken our schedules.

Saturday, March 22. 2014 --
On Saturday morning, our family went several different ways.
Allie was at the Great Wolf Lodge with a friend.
Hubs left to go do a funeral that was a couple of hours away, dropping Maggie and Lillie at his mom's on the way to spend the night.
I finished my coffee quickly so Brady and I could head to Asheville.

We met our friends, The Newkirks, for lunch at The Mellow Mushroom.
After lunch, they took Brady with them to see Disney Jr. Live with Jake, Sofia and Doc McStuffins.
While they saw the show, I did some shopping!

81/365......These two love each other so much.

Sunday, March 23, 2014 --
We headed over to church as the sun rose.
Beautiful sunrise.

Another busy Sunday including church, children's church,  and a mission with our SWAG Youth Ministry before arriving home for the day around 3PM to be with my family.

81/365......The Last Supper. Remembrance cups and Communion Chalices made by 3rd-6th graders.

Monday, March 24, 2014 -
This day started with my favorite mug falling off a table and shattering.
It was definitely a Monday.

The day included lots of work and grocery shopping.
I picked up the girls from school on the way home from grocery shopping.
As soon as I got the groceries unloaded, the girls and I went to meet our boys and get some supper.
We had to grab supper out because tonight was the first night at T-ball practice for Brady and Ken, who is helping coach.
A couple of the girls went to tee ball practice to help.
And Lillie and I headed home.
Lillie had to clean her room and I needed to {force myself} run.
After all that I was ready to sit and read.....

82/365......but this book?  I'm really struggling with it.
I decided to read it knowing my oldest was going to ask to read his stuff.
SO far, I'm not a huge fan.
The language really bugs me.

Tuesday, March 25, 2014 --
IT was a wet, rainy day.  Rainy. Snowy. Sleety day.
I worked and had a lunch meeting. The lunch was really fun as it was with my friend, Tina.
She is the Director of Children's Ministris at her church and I enjoy talking with her.
She gives great advice and I am enjoying getting to know her.

Hubs and I had an afternoon meeting so after getting the kids from school, we headed back to the church.
After the meeting we headed home for quick supper of sandwiches to get ready for our evening.
Maggie was supposed to start softball practice tonight but the weather cancelled it.
Usually on Tuesdays, Allie has ballet.
Then, she informed us that she was no longer interested in doing ballet.

83/365.....no more dance for this girl after 8 years.
I snuck down and took this picture of her sleeping because I wanted to remember this day. My first to start dance and the last to stop it.

Wednesday, March 26, 2014 --
This is my favorite smell every morning.
Coffee makes my mornings!

After getting the girls off to school and Ken and Brady out the door, too.
I made time to run a couple of miles before getting ready and heading to church to work for a while.
Brady and I went to pick up Lillie from school a little early in the afternoon because she and I both had eye doctor appointments.
It was her first.  My eyes haven't changed that much.

84/365.....she will be getting glasses.

After eye exams, we went home and I cooked turkey burgers with homemade brioche buns for supper. SO delish!!
We hurried off after supper -- Maggie and Ken to her first softball practice and the rest of us to church for choir.

Thursday, March 27, 2014 --
Lately, he loves to try to sneak up on people and scared them or hide and scare people.

Typically, I try to take Thursdays as my day off.
But, since I was planning to go on a field trip with Allie on Friday, I worked!
I picked up the kids from school and still had work to do by way of going to Hobby Lobby to get supplies for our children's church on Sunday.
SO, Allie, Lillie, Brady and I headed off to do that.
Ken picked up Maggie a bit later when her Green Club meeting was over.
We brought home supper because we knew we had much to do that evening and there was no time to cook.
After eating our quick Chick-fil-A meal, Lillie and I headed off to another first.
Her first piano lesson.  She loved it!

85/365......she came home and practiced right away.

Friday, March 28, 2014 --
The field trip got cancelled due to impending rain.
It was an outdoor field trip, so it will be rescheduled.

Since I had already scheduled the day off.
I headed to my favorite mall to do some shopping and look for a new dress for myself.
I did find a dress. YEAY!
One of the places I tried things on was at Vineyard Vines.
I love their clothes but they don't do petites and the things I tried on just didn't fit right.
I inttagrammed them and begged for a petite line.

After picking the kids up from school, we headed off to meet my sister.
We drove about an hour and a half and so did she.
Allie was going to spend the weekend with them.

86/365.....Everyone was excited! Allie was especially excited about getting to play play with her baby cousins all weekend.

On the way home, the other three kids and I stopped at the Pottery Barn outlet in Gaffney, SC.
I found several things on my shopping trips yesterday that I would love to have.
I ended up not buying any of the ones that I found at Pottery Barn though.
Maybe next time.

So, that was our week!
Can't wait to see what everyone else has been up to.
That is, if I can find time to stop and look!
I'm already posting this a day late because by the time I got home yesterday I was too tired to care anymore.
