A Month of Thanks - Resting

Today has been a long day. It started out pretty roughly. And then it's just been one thing after another. I had a meeting at church this morning, then I came home to clean and cook because we were having company for supper tonight. I began to make dessert and I spilled chocolate cake mix all over my floor adding more to clean up.

After getting everything cleaned up and the Lasagna in the oven, I had to go pick up A from a friends house and run by the store. I ran back home to finish supper just in time for our company to show up.

I am not complaining about any of the things that I was rushing around to do today. It's always a crazy, busy life and that is ok.

But tonight I'm thankful that it's 9:30PM and I've got the kitchen cleaned, the dishwasher running and a load of clothes in the washer and the dryer. Now that all of that is done, I'm about to take a nice hot bath. After my bath I plan on laying in my bed and reading a good novel until I fall asleep......I might even enjoy a nice cup of hot tea.

Time for resting, reading and relaxing. THAT is what I'm thankful for today!
