Just An Old Sweet Song....

Yesterday, the kids and I packed up and drove to Georgia where my parents both live. I grew up on Lookout Mountain in extreme NW Georgia. I love coming home for a visit. This little mountain community I grew up in takes me back to my childhood and all the comforts from that time.

We have lots planned for the week.

Today, we will drive to Chattanooga and take the girls shopping to pick out an outfit "for their birthdays".....two of which are months away. I'm sure we will come how with outfits from this store --- if they have clothes to fit everyone.... If not, there is always this store or this one!!

We will also celebrate M's birthday while we are here with a small family party. That is what she wanted to do. Have a party at Grammies house. It will be a pink and green (maybe brown instead) monkey theme.....That is planned for Thursday evening when Daddy arrives to be with us.

Miss M got a fishing pole for her birthday from Granddaddy R and Nana LeeAnne. We brought it and her tackle box along with us to Georgia and Granddaddy P is taking the girls (maybe all of us?) fishing.....probably tomorrow.

We will go and visit my grandparents at least a couple of times while we are here. I love that my kids are getting to know one set of my grandparents.

We might see a movie and I might visit my fav. local children's shop - The Sandbox!!! We may even get to go to Coolidge Park for some water fun.

It promises to be a full week with lots to do and lots of family and friends to see. One thing is sure. For me, it is an "old sweet song" -- Georgia is on my mind!!

Ya'll have a good one! Our fun starts................now!
