Cookies For Daddy

Last week was an incredibly long week. Hubs was out of town for some continuing education most of the week. Miss A ran a fever for two days. I also went to the dr. for a yucky URI. We also had a snow day thrown in there. Hubs got to spend his week at Pinehurst.....yeah. I'm thinking he owes me.
Anyway - we were so excited on Thursday afternoon for hubs to come home that we decided we would back him some cookies as a "welcome home/ Happy Early Valentine's gift".

All 4 kids helped and we all had a great time!

Everything is in. Put the chairs back.
Daddy called and was very near home about that point. SO, we quickly stirred in the chocolate chips, covered the bowl with plastic wrap and put it in the fridge. We got everyone in the car and met Daddy at our fav. Mexican Restaurant for supper. We all kept the secret of our surprise cookies very well. Once home, we told Dad he was banned from the kitchen and we got to baking.
B watching and waiting!

First batch got a little darker than I wanted. But they still taste good!

And FINALLY! SURPRISE, Daddy!
We all had a chocolate chip cookie for dessert and before bedtime.
It was a great evening!
Have a fabulous day, ya'll! It's snowing at my house again!
