Beautiful

I have a very hard time seeing myself as beautiful. I'm not talking about vainness here -- I'm talking about the understanding that God sees me as beautiful. For lots of reasons, I've never felt anything but unlovely to God. I know my own ugliness and it is huge. I'm trying to reprogram myself, though, and understand how God sees me. As I was having some quiet time with the Lord this morning, he gave me these verses for today.

Psalm 45:10-11
"Listen, O daughter, consider and give ear: Forget your people and your father's house. The King is enthralled by your beauty; honor him, for he is your Lord."

I long to understand this and pass it on to my sweet daughters. I want them to know and understand FULLY how God sees them and not still be struggling with it when they are 35.

What about you? Do you struggle with this like me? How do you show your daughters how God feels about them? I'd love to hear your idea's.

  1. YES. I struggle with that too. I've been trying to read The Grace Walk. It is a good book and has helped me with my identity in Christ.

    Have a great week!
