Exactly one week ago today, I went to this sweet lady's house and learned to can applesause.
Here are the Mason Jars heating up (to sterilize)
And here are all the apples we cut up cooking....
And here is me....with my very first quart of canned applesauce.
My family ate some of it for supper that night. It was delicious even if I do say so myself. =)
I had so much fun learning to can apples and now, if I can just get myself a pressure cooker, I feel like I might even be able to take on tomatoes and greenbeans. =) Plus, it's so much healthier for my family.
Thanks MA and V, for showing me the way!!!!
Also, my FIL took my family on the Great Smokey Mtn. Railway. I was very afraid of how Mr. B was going to do riding on a train fur 4 hours but he did quite well. It was a beautiful ride with beautiful scenery with a stop over at the Nantahala Outdoor Center. Beautiful! It was a great time with the family!
The Train....
B. LOVED watching and looking out the window.
He did not like being made to keep all body parts inside.
The best shot we got of all 6 of us.....
That's it for today. Must get off here and get some housework done. Tomorrow I will be back (I hope) to tell you all about our weekend at The Revolve Tour.
How fun! The applesauce looks delish!
