I love reading too, but have never read one of these books. I'd love to enter!
ReplyDeleteI grew up in a town of about 78,000 or so. Not huge but not small. After I married my husband, we moved all around because of his career(military). One time we ended up in a very small town. Little grocery store, K-8 school for our kids, and we ended up renting a house in the country. Out of my element being brought up "in town". On this property was our rental house along with the landlords "getaway" house. It was on a piece of land with a couple of ponds, some trails, a couple of horses...and a few sheep. The landlord even had a caretaker to take care of everything, including a garden that we had free pickings anytime we wanted. One day the gate to where the sheep were got left open and they were out in the garden. I was getting ready to leave for my job in the "city"--dress, high heels, hose--you get the picture. I couldn't find the caretaker but I most certainly did not want the garden ruined. So I go out there and in my best sheep voice said, "here sheep, here sheep" and walked back to the gated area. They followed. My kids still laugh about that story.

Hi...it's a shame I missed this deadline. My 14 yr old loves this type of book. She is actually reading many books I read yrs ago! The story line is right up our alley too.
