Another Weekend Update

We had a big weekend around here!

On Friday morning, M graduated from Kindergarten. They sang some songs and got their 'diploma's'. After the graduation, she was allowed to go home. No more Kindergarten, she is officially considering herself a 1st grader now.
Here she is getting that diploma!

Waiting to be picked up after the graduation. The little girl to her left is E, our neighbor and one of M's favorite friends.

Here is M hugging Ms. Brooke, her teacher, goodbye.

And hugging Ms. Sandra, her Assistant Teacher, goodbye.

After graduation, she had a playdate at a friends house which pretty much made for a perfect Friday for Miss M.

On Friday evening the youth from my home church in North Georgia arrived in town. They spent the night on the floor of our CLC. On Saturday, they went rafting and then they performed a program at our church that evening. The program was awesome with skits and singing. Here are a a few pictures of the evening.

This skit was called "Who Wants to Be A Christian"

I can't remember the name of this one, but it was about the new guy -- the one in the green shirt -- trying to fit in but being left out by the rest....pretty common struggle, I'd say....

This skit was called "Love Brain". It was great for the other teens in the audience!

Apparently, I didn't get a picture of my favorite skit. It was about Jesus walking on water. It started out with the kids in a boat out on the water looking for Jesus in the fog.....and the best line I've heard in a while: "Where the heck is Jesus?!!?" Don't we all feel that way sometimes?

Anyone out there in North GA/TN/ AL (hint, hint Lisa at the Preacher's Wife) looking for an awesome group to come in a present the gospel, let me know --- I will hook you up. They had such a wonderful program. It had lots of multi media, too!!!

Here is the whole group. I didn't take this picture. I totally stole it from the group leader who emailed it to me since 3 of my kids are in the picture with them. My kids LOVED getting to see these kids and hang out with them. So, NS Youth, just be prepared when we come home again.....my girls will be looking for you!

Pa Pa and Na Na (my dad and his girlfriend) were also here Saturday and Sunday. It was a great weekend full of family and friends and ended just perfectly with my bible study last night. If you've not done Psalms of Ascent by Beth Moore, you should! SO far it is awesome!

Have a great Monday, I gotta go figure out what my family is eating this week and get on to the laundry that piled up over the weekend.
