Should've known better!!!

When I am 16 weeks pregnant and have been working through a fear of dying for a year now, and I come upon an article entitled, "More American Women Dying During Childbirth", you'd think some common sense would set in. Common sense would say -- DON'T READ IT!

What did I choose? yep - I read it.

I have a feeling my truth cards with my scriptures on fear are going to be prevalent again for a while.

Should've known better.........

  2. I try not to watch reality hospital shows while I"m pregnant because I do the same as you. Anything that can go wrong I'm afraid will happen to me. It's nice to know there are other people just like me when it comes to that.

  3. girlfriend, I've had some of the same fears I've been trying to deal with for a few months now. Not fun to be in fear's grip! I'll have to tell you more about it another time...

...for now, Happy Easter, my friend! I hope you and your family have a wonderful weekend celebrating the resurrection of our Lord!

    Love ya!

  4. Found you through The 29:11 Promise. Why do we always want to do those things we know we shouldn't? Bless you and your baby. Better to stick to light reading, girl! Blessings this Easter weekend.

  5. Oh, no...we are so much alike and I have very similar fears...I tend to gravitate towards things that cause fear and that makes it all worse!!! I have learned not to watch so much Fox news.(I can't stand the missing people and children stories) I read about everything that can go wrong during pregnancy during my third one...I have learned to not focus on what is not true and I have to make myself not have vain imaginations...but I still struggle with it at times...and the steroid episode a while back made matters only worse!

I will be praying for your thought life...that is where it all begins for me.

Just know most of the things we read about are very rare and God is sovereign and in control and we will be able to handle whatever he allows for our good.

  6. I know exactly what you're talking about. I've done the same thing before. Keep speaking the truth of God's Word. Pray it, meditate on it, memorize it. Resist the enemy with God's Word! God hasn't given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love and a sound mind. Claim that sound mind girl! It's yours in Christ!

Hope you have a wonderful week!

    P.S.
I'm getting to read "Lies Women Believe" by Nancy Leigh DeMoss and am looking to do it as a book study on my blog. If you're interested in joining me, please come visit my blog and read the post about the book study. My blog address is:

What I've read in this book is excellent. It's all about confronting lies of the enemy with God's truth.

  7. HA! I bet I read the same article...although I have been dealing with fear in general lately, and I am 23 weeks pregnant! I am also a pastor's wife too, so it's a pleasure to meet you.
