Vacation Recap!

Hi everybody!

Our trip was wonderful.

We started with some family time with my family in North Georgia. It was, of course, an extended Christmas for us as we exchanged gifts while we were there. One of the neatest gifts my girls got was this dollhouse that my mom had my uncle build for them. It is awesome! I am so thankful that they received this......and since we have no room here, I am thankful that it is staying at Grammy's to play with there.

We headed out to Florida and stayed at Cocoa Beach for one night before our cruise went out. It has been since my middle daughter was 6 weeks old since any of us had been to the beach so that was much fun. And even though on that day it was about 69 degrees out, my girls had a great time playing at the edge of the water.

And if you have the chance, and you have small children (or if you just love the Mouse) go on a Disney Cruise. We had so much fun. The girls got to see lots of princesses and characters which they loved. On the cruise, sometimes the characters just roam around. We were standing waiting on the time to come to see Wendy Darling and Peter Pan when we heard someone calling, "White Rabbit?" . We turned around to find Alice coming down the stairs searching for the white rabbit. She stopped and talked to my girls and asked them if they would help her find her white rabbit. She took them by the hand and they walked around looking for the rabbit for a while. This was my FAVORITE moment of the entire week. It was so sweet!

We had a fabulous time at Castaway Cay, Disney's private island, where the Flying Dutchman (from Pirates of the Caribbean) sits right off shore.

The girls LOVED the beach and playing in the sand and at the waters edge. And just take a look at that water......it was beautiful!

We then got back on board then ship for the Pirates IN the Caribbean Party where everyone donned pirate costumes and had a blast.

We really did have a wonderful vacation and were quite sad to have to leave the warm weather of the Bahamas and return to the cold here in NC. But we are back and getting back into the swing of things again. And reacquainting ourselves with the cold......matter of fact, we are expecting a "wintery mix" around here on Thursday. I'm hoping for snow.........but I'm not holding my breath.
Hope you all are well and looking forward to catching up with each of you!
