My Walk to Emmaus

Girls!

I just want you to know that my walk to Emmaus was INCREDIBLE!!!!
I grew up in church. Always being told how much Jesus loved me. I knew all the right answers. BUT it wasn't until this weekend that I really FELT how big HIS great love is for me.

It really was an amazing weekend. Nothing could prepare me for it. It was something I had to experience. And I really don't have adequate words to describe to you what it really meant to me!!!

I just began a new bible study "To Live Is Christ" a study on the life of Paul (by Beth Moore) with Deidre.
I realized yesterday as I was doing my study, that I had been a bit (a lot) like Paul when he was still Saul. I have been a Pharisee. I knew the law and tried to obey but I just didn't get the LOVE that was supposed to go with it as I should have.
Well, God blessed me this weekend in a way that I NEVER imagined. I know how much HE loves me now. I hope to bring that love to everyone around me and stop being a Pharisee.....
I hope you all are having a great week so far.
I have A LOT to catch up on!
BLESSINGS!

  1. Hi Mindy!
I'm so glad your 'walk' was life-changing for you. I know I've always struggled with how much God loves me, too. You know, when we struggle with that, it's difficult for us to love others (which does make us act like a Pharisee). Isn't it funny how both of those lessons go together?

Thank you, too, for the bookmark and the note. That was so thoughtful of you. I'm so glad you're participating in the study. Al though, I was a little scrambled last night during our discussion ... I was very nervous.

    Have a great week!

  4. I am so glad that your walk when well. I agree with you words can not descripte your feeling during that weekend. And the whole weekend is a service of love.
I am glad you are doing the BS with us. I know I am alot like Saul, but my heartest desire is to have that walk with God that Paul had. It is hard for me also to grid the love of God. But that is what Paul is all about, he loved others like God loves us.
