Lamb of God

On Friday night, Hubs and I were gifted with tickets to see a local production of 

Lamb of God.

It was a Passion Play that told the Story of Jesus.

The actors did a great job and the music was awesome.

It used some popular contemporary Christian songs which I loved.

My favorite song that they sang was this one.  

The lyrics are amazing.

Such a touching song......

The whole song is just incredible but look at these lyrics.....

That chose to forgive

How beautiful is the body of Christ!

And as He laid down His life.

We offer this sacrifice

That we will live 

just as He died

willing to pay the price....

Those last words really got to me.

Am I?

Am I willing to pay the price just as Jesus did?

At first glance, I think we are all quick to say YES! I'm willing.

But the more I live and the more I experience in my life, I am really seeing how hard it is to live like I'm willing to pay the price.  Because, by golly - sometimes my humanness jumps right up there and I am not willing to pay the price.  

But, I'm praying that with the help of the Holy Spirit, I will be willing to pay the price.

To do whatever God is asking me to do no matter how hard it is or how badly I might not want to do it.

That is my prayer, tonight!

As you can see, this play gave me lots of food for thought.

Things to pray on and wrestle through with the Spirit....
