10.16.11 - Sunday..... Last Sunday was rough for the first 6 hours.....SEVERAL things happened all by 11AM including things like me falling down the stairs, children lying, and this......
yep, that is the pointy end of a nail coming through my tire.  ugh!
oh, and also - my Nikon D5000 camera fell off a table at church.  It definitely broke the lens.  Possibly the camera.  I'm hoping just the lens. The trouble is that it broke my everyday lens....the 50 to 200 mm one (I think that's the right measurements) so all I have at this point is my telephoto lens.
With the week I had coming up -- hands down, worst time EVER, to break my camera and lens....

10.17.11 - Monday.... Brady and I went to a nearby town to do some shopping Monday afternoon.
He was very interested in this carved pumpkin.
In this picture, he was smelling it.....
10.18.11 - Tuesday.... Brady and I drove to Asheville to meet Granddaddy and Nana LeeAnne to pick up a box full of goodies for us.  Because it was such a crazy day, I had put on a roast for supper in the crock pot.  I used these organic rainbow colored carrots in it.
Seriously, best  carrots I've ever eaten. really.
10.19.11 - Wednesday..... My Mom arrived on Wednesday afternoon.  While I had been preparing for Allie's upcoming birthday party for a while, she helped me get it done fast!.
Here are some pumpkins we glittered and one of the pom poms we made.
10.20.11 - Thursday.....This was Allie's 10th birthday.  I didn't get a picture of her that day. {I know, bad Mom}  because we were very busy preparing for said upcoming party.  These are the pumpkins we had to carve that night.
10.21.11 - Friday.... The kids wore brand new outfits that Nana LeeAnne had made them for Halloween to school on Friday.  They LOVED their new outfits. Thanks, Nana!  Friday was also Allie's 10th Birthday Costume Party.  There will be a post about that soon.  It was great fun!
10.22.11 - Saturday....This morning we had family pics made. This is our awesome photographer, Christine Mason.  She did a fantastic job. Especially considering it was cold starting out and I had 4 kids who weren't thrilled about taking off their coats to do pics in the cold  -- One of who repeatedly refused.....
Then! I was treated to a mani/pedi with some great ladies.  FUN!
After that, it was a quick lunch and on to Allie's last soccer game of the season.
We came home after the soccer game and the kids and I watched The Princess and The Frog. {I heart that movie}.  Then we went and met my hubby, Granddaddy and Nana, and some friends for supper.
I came home and edited all the birthday party pics.

 And now, I'm exhausted!!
The absence of blogging this week has been due to all the birthday party prep....

That's what we've been up to this very busy week.
What have YOU been up to?
