Well....let me tell you the last week has been a busy one.
I took off to Atlanta a week ago Friday for my sister's 30th birthday party. We had a great time there. They have an awesome pool in her neighborhood that has a children's play area sort of like a water park. LOADS of fun!
Check out my three girls having a blast! The girls then went to North Georgia with to stay with two sets of grandparents (they have 4). Where they were spoiled rotten to the "nth degree" and I'm not just saying that. They had loads of fun with Grammy and Granddaddy and NaNa and PaPa! And their Aunt and Uncle and cousins were around to visit with them too so they had lots of fun!
While they were gone last week, I took advantage of doing some things with hubby and other friends.
On Monday, hubby and I did some visitation and then drove to Hickory for dinner at Chili's ( one of my FAVORITE places to eat) and did some shopping. Hubby actually bought a few things which, for anyone who knows him ,is a miracle!
On Tuesday of last week, Hubby and I drove to Winston -Salem to visit a church member in the hospital. After the visit we went shopping at Hanes Mall - where I got a pair of jeans at Banana Republic for less than half of the original price! It WAS a good deal. really it was.
On Wednesday - I saw a new eye doctor. Doesn't sound like much fun but she was young and hip and great! To give God the big "shout out " he deserves here.....I was looking online for a new eye doc and prayed that God would lead me to a godly doctor who could figure out what the trouble was with my eyes......AND ya'll did HE ever come through?!!? HE is awesome and she is a christian and did figure out why words are popping off the pages of books at me! =)
On Thursday, I went to Johnson City, TN to visit some wonderful friends who live there. These people are dear, dear friends of mine and every time I see them I am reminded of how much I love them. See, when I was 16 (going into my Jr. Year of HS), my church got a new pastor. Junior year in HS is a pivotal time--and they were up to putting up with my drama for a few years.....They stayed at my church for 9 years - until I was 25. They moved the same year that hubby and I became engaged but came back almost a year later to be involved in my wedding. I cannot tell you how much I love that family and how blessed I am to have them as part of my life. AND as a bonus, one of our other (mutual) friends was on her way home from vacation and stopped by that afternoon so I got to visit with her too! It was a fabulous day!
On Friday, NaNa and PaPa (my dad) drove my girls home. We had a great evening visiting together! Needless to say, since I had been out all week, I spent the day cleaning house.
And on Saturday, we had a PRINCESS party for my middle daughter who turned 4 on August 2nd. It was a small family party but we all had a blast. We had a cookout in our back yard and had THIS cake which she was delighted with!

And here is one more shot of the cake -- just so you can get the full view!

Please don't miss that it is a castle with 6 Disney princesses on the cake. This child has been talking about this cake since we ordered it 3 weeks ago. SHE was more excited than I can tell you! Anyway - it was a great time. Thanks to all of our family who joined us for this occasion -- it was so much fun!And then of course, yesterday was Sunday and it was full of church activities!
So, that brings us to today. Hope you all are having a good Monday and hopefully I will be back to more regular postings soon!
