For the LOVE {of Pinterest} !!

Do you love Pinterest?
I do!
I know that for some folks that Pinterest is just another thing to waste time.
However.
For me - it is total organizing awesomeness!
I am the girl who for years had a notebook FULL of ideas torn out of magazines and printed off the computer. They were even in page protectors and categorized.
SO, you can see why a virtual notebook (or pinboard as it were) would be perfect for me!!!

Today, I'm joining up with The Vintage Apple for

Its my first time to join this link up but I think it is great fun!!!
SO, without further ado.
Here are somethings I've pinned lately.

I am so totally doing this!!
Air freshener made with  cute little ball jars, baking soda, essential oils?
Easy and if you have never smelled the Sweet Orange Essential Oil, you are missing out.
It smells heavenly and I can't wait til  my  whole house smells like it.

Last year, the kids and I had great fun
making their Valentines from Pinterest ideas.
I have been looking for more ideas for this year.
I found these just this morning.
I am hoping at least one (or four) of my kids will want these as their Valentines!!

Have you seen Les Mis yet?
 If not, you should go.
 It was awesome.
 I will see it again!
These two were some of my favs in the movie.
Choosing Bellatrix LeStrange to play Mrs. Thenardier was a brilliant casting decision!!

I love this very natural looking eye!
If someone could find me the perfect eye shadows and show me how to make it look just like this on me,
I will give them a million bucks.
Well, not really a million bucks cause I don't even have five bucks,
but I would be ever so grateful!!

I have the perfect spot for this wreath on my front porch.
I am going to make it -- but I want it to be much bigger.
I don't know how large a wreath form I can find - do they come in say 24 inch size???
At any rate -- I will be making one of these asap! I will share the finished product if I don't fail miserably.

That's it for this Wednesday!
Hope that you guys have a great one.
The weather here is the south is nasty today.
In my little area, the wind is picking up and there are supposed to be storms all afternoon and evening.
All of my kids dislike storms, but my Maggie is terrified of them.
So, if you think of it -- say a prayer for her today.

The Year of the Boot

I have a thing for boots.
I also have a thing for high heels but they tend to get neglected in the winter.

I love wearing dress boots with my dresses to church on Sundays.
I tend to be cold all the time so boots help keep my feet warm.
I love them so much that I have both brown and black boots so they will go with whatever I'm wearing.
I
When I pulled out my boots back in October when it was finally cool enough to wear them, it became painfully obvious that I needed new boots.

These are my brown boots.
I have had them so long I don't even remember when I got them.
But it's been at least 7 years or so.....
They have served their purpose.
Look at these scuffed toes.

They are so old, they actually leak when it rains....

And, clearly I was rough on the heels....

I also had a pair of black boots.
I didn't have this pair as long.
Maybe two years....but the black ones get worn more.
Evidence in the toes....

and look at the heels of these.....
I think I might have an issue with turning my heels out or something....

So, now - you agree that it was time for new boots!!
So, I took my Christmas/ Birthday money {my birthday is Christmas Eve}
and got some new boots!!
I searched for weeks and weeks for just the right ones.
{I think I might be too picky about boots,too}

I got these brown suede beauties on sale from The Loft.

And then my Mom sent me a text saying that Talbots had their boots on sale.
I got these black ones there.
They are no longer available.

So, I finally had my dressy boots replaced and I already had casual black slouch boots that are very similar to these that I got last year for like $20 at Belk!!
I wear them all the time.

But, black does not go with everything in my world.
The more I thought about it, the more I realized that I really wanted some casual brown boots, too.
So, I was thrilled when the girls and I were shopping at Belk and I found these.
Remember me saying I'm always cold?
These boots are fleece lined,  were on sale and I had a gift card!!
And now, I wear these all the time, too.

So, now you know why I have 4 pairs of boots in my closet
and how it has become the year of the boot
{ at least in my house}
But, clearly I needed them all......

DO you love boots as much as me?
What are your favorites???

What Do I Know of Holy?

Every Sunday morning, I listen to worship music as I get ready for church.
Sunday mornings are not the only time in the week that I listen to worship music, but it has a special purpose on Sundays.
It helps me prepare my heart for worship.

One of the songs that always, always brings me to my knees {metaphorically....and sometimes, literally}
is this one.

What Do I Know of Holy
by Addison Road

This song has incredible lyrics.
It reminds me that the more I "know" the more I know that I know nothing at all.

This morning I am home. Maggie ran a fever on Friday and all day yesterday. This morning it is down but we are staying home . But thankfully we can watch online.
So, that's where I will be.
Hope you have a wonderful Sabbath day where ever you are!

My instagram 365 Life Take 2

I am failing horribly at remembering to take pictures.
It really bums me out because I so wanted document the little moments.
I guess the little moments are keeping me from taking pics.....
Good thing I can always start again.....Hopefully I will do better this week.
1.20.13 ~ Sunday ~  I wore my new dress and shoes to church on Sunday.
I love  this outfit.
Though, I really don't like this picture of me in it......
I also got to meet my sweet friend, Courtney for supper.
She was on her way back home and we got to meet at one of my favorite restaurants, Pomodoro's.
They have gluten free pasta, so Courtney could eat there, too!
It was so great to catch up with her!

1.21.13 ~ Monday~  I drove down to meet my sister and pick up Lillie.
We had a great lunch together.  {why I didn't take a picture at lunch I'm not sure.}
On the way home, Lillie and I stopped at the Pottery Barn Outlet.
Lillie decided to spend the rest of her money on a new quilt for her bed.
It's super cute and she got a great deal on it.
Though, I don't think the black toile goes anymore.....
We had to order the pillow sham online.
You can get them both here on sale!!

We also had a package from my grandmother with scarves for Lillie, Maggie and myself
{she gave Allie her scarf when we were there at Christmas}
I just love it!!!
And love that it was handmade by my Granny even more!!

1.22.13~ Tuesday ~  Brady and I hung out at home.  We took this picture of he and Snow for a school project we were doing for him.
I cannot believe how much they've both grown in the last few months!!

1.23.13~ Wednesday ~  I had to go get groceries so that was my morning. Then I picked up B from school.  Came home and did some housework, then it was time to get the  girls.  Then, it was homework, supper, bath and bedtime for kids. Then collapse myself. ;)

1.24.13 ~Thursday..... no pics.  It was a crazy busy day, too.  I worked at lot on preparing for my bible study.  It was a wonderful evening.

1.25.13~ Friday~ The kids went to school and were dismissed at 8:45AM due to sleet and freezing rain.
So, we came home, { did a little housework}, and after lunch, we put on our pj's

and had pajama day ....

since we were iced in.

And a couple of us napped.....

We also enjoyed the fire a lot!!!!

I also made  Brioche Buns to go with our Turkey Joe's for supper.
They were delish!!

1.26.13 ~ Saturday.  It's been a pretty lazy day here at home. Ken, Allie, Lillie and Brady went to lunch at his Mom's house. His sister was there, so it was a great visit.  But,  I've been hanging at home with Maggie who is running a fever. =(

That's my week.
Let's hope I can do better for both of these posts this week.....{grin}

Swirling Thoughts

There are a million thoughts running around in my head tonight.
It started this morning before I even got out of bed
and it's just been snowballing on to more and more things all day....

I cannot even begin to type them all up here there are so many of them.......

SO, for tonight, I'm going to leave your with this --
my devotion from Jesus Calling for today.
Which,  when I got around to reading today related with some of my swirling and gave me hope!

Strive to trust me in more and more areas of your life.
Anything that tends to make you anxious is a growth opportunity.
Instead of running away from these challenges, embrace them, eager to gain all the blessings I have hidden in the difficulties.
If your believe that I am sovereign over every aspect of your life,
it is possible to trust Me in all situations.
Don't waste energy regretting the way things are or thinking about what might have been.
Start at the present moment -- accepting things exactly as they are -- and search for My way in the midst of those circumstances.
Trust is like a staff you can lean on, as you journey uphill with Me.
If you are trusting Me consistently, the staff will bear as much of your weight as needed.
Lean on, trust and be confident in Me with all of your heart and mind.

Remember Who is Boss!!

Isaiah 55:  8-11
“I don’t think the way you think.
The way you work isn’t the way I work.” God’s Decree.
“For as the sky soars high above earth,
so the way I work surpasses the way you work,
and the way I think is beyond the way you think.
Just as rain and snow descend from the skies and don’t go back until they’ve watered the earth,
Doing their work of making things grow and blossom,
producing seed for farmers and food for the hungry,
So will the words that come out of my mouth not come back empty-handed.
They’ll do the work I sent them to do,
they’ll complete the assignment I gave them.

My Intagram 365.3 Life

life rearranged

So, we've been rather busy this week so I'm sharing my 365.3 and my instagram photos all in one post.

1.12.13 -- This is The Queen of Hearts and Alice putting on a play for us at the girls sleepover last Saturday.
It was a great play that they worked hard to make up for us and I loved that Maggie made herself a crown.
At this point, it had fallen over.
Also, instead of asking Alice if she wanted to play croquet,
this Queen asked Alice to play Mini Golf. =)

1.13.13 -- On Sunday morning I woke up to the most incredible sunrise.

On Sunday afternoon, we took our friend Erin back to meet her Mom.
She and Allie had a wonderful weekend together and we were honored to have her.
The two of them formulated a plan to see each other once a month.
Too bad it's another 5 years before either of them can drive.
Wait a minute!!!
It's only 5 years til they can drive?!?!?

1.14.13 -- On Monday, I finally got out my Valentine's Decorations.
Which on my 9 foot long mantle look pretty pitiful.
I need to figure out how to make it better.......

1.15.13 --On Tuesday, I went to get groceries at The Fresh Market.
Y'all.
This store is beautiful.
Cheese case, olive bar, fresh organic meats, and incredible flowers.
And they had some great sales going on.
I think I will
be going back often!!
I guess I was too enthralled to take a real picture that day....

1.16.13 -- Wednesday was a busy day.
My amyrillis was blooming and I got this shot of it.
And then the next day, it got too heavy and fell off the mantle.
Smashed to tiny pieces ......=(

I watched Brady at Fit Kids at Preschool.
SO fun!!

Our friend Cassie came to visit us on Wednesday.
We love it when she stops by.

1.17.13 --On Thursday I caught this boy playing hard with his cars.
Love seeing glimpses like this......

I spent most of Thursday working on my bible study all day.
But then had to cancel it due to the snow......

1.17.13 -- Too bad we only woke up with a dusting of snow Friday morning.
We were, however, happy to see the sun as it rained every other day this week.
It was enough snow to cancel school for the day.
Which worked out for us because all of our kids were going out of town for the weekend.

Once we got all the kids to their respective places for the long weekend,
I came back home to commence my long weekend at home with my hubby.
We went to dinner and to see Les Mis last night.
It is an amazing movie!!!

1.20.13 - Today - Saturday -- I took no pics.
Too busy enjoying our weekend.
The kids come home on Monday....
Until then, back to our kid free relaxing weekend!!!

Songs that Inspire Worship

Yesterday, I was driving along listening to the radio.
And singing along.
Because I always sing along.

And then a song came on that changed the singing along to real, heart felt worship.

It was From The Inside Out by Hillsong --

That got me thinking about how there are songs that sometimes inspire me to worship.
By that I mean that at that point in time this song speaks to my particular situation at that time.

But then, there are songs that always inspire me to worship.

Here's my short list of songs that always inspire worship.
Deep down in my soul worship!! (including the one above)

David Crowder's "Oh, How He Loves Us"
without -- the sloppy wet kiss line.
No offense to the guy who wrote the song and did it originally --
I just find that line a bit.....disrespectful?

Be Thou My Vision
by whoever is singing it at the time.
But I do love 4Him's version!!!

Lastly,
Come Thou Fount.
Again, by whoever is singing it!

What songs inspire that deep down in your soul kind of worship in you??
